Dental Bearing Company began in 2000 as a family owned business based out of our living room. Thanks to our loyal customers, we have experience tremendous growth over the years, including moving twice to larger houses with more workspace. Even with the exciting growth we’ve experienced, we will always remain a family owned, home-based business that prides itself on honesty, quality products, customer support and service.

Our primary focus is on the sales of products to dental handpiece repair shops throughout the world. However, to stay current with the latest handpiece repair techniques, we do perform handpiece repairs for dentists in the Quad City area.

We are firmly committed to the belief that we treat every customer the way we would want to be treated if we were the customer.

We offer same day shipping on most orders and technical support after the sale to help us maintain the high customer standards we have set for ourselves.

Dental Bearing Company is dedicated to bringing our customers the products and service they need to run their business at the lowest possible prices everyday.

Our company is located in Davenport, Iowa, one of the four cities known collectively as the Quad Cities. The Quad Cities are made up of Bettendorf/ Davenport Iowa and Rock Island /Moline, Illinois as well as many smaller surrounding towns. The Mississippi River divides the Iowa and Illinois cities. We are proud of our Quad Cities and hope you enjoy this bit of information about our hometown.

The Quad Cities is home to the world famous John Deere factory (Moline), the Rock Island Arsenal, home of 2000 confederate solider graves and where hundreds of eagles spend their winter to fish in the open waters near the dam. Davenport is the birthplace of chiropractic care (Palmer College). Former President Ronald Reagan began his broadcasting career at WOC radio in Davenport. Actor Cary Grant suffered a stroke and later died at a local Davenport hospital after performing here. Le Claire, Iowa, a smaller nearby town, is the birthplace of Buffalo Bill Cody. Bix Beiderbecke, a famous jazz cornet player from the roaring 20's, was born and raised in Davenport. Each July, a 7 mile race called The Bix, attracts 15,000-20,000 runners/walkers from all over the world, including Olympic runners. The first mile of the course is uphill.

A Midwestern League baseball team, the Quad City Swing, the Quad City Mallards (United Hockey League) and Quad City Steamwheelers (Arena football) provide sports entertainment. The John Deere Golf Classic is hosted here in July and features well-known PGA personalities. The Mark of the Quad Cities, a 12,000 seat arena, has hosted many performers, including Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Cher, the Eagles and George Strait. Three gambling boats, complete with paddlewheels, offer a variety of gambling opportunities.

The Mississippi River is rich in history where in the mid 1800's, the 350 mile steamboat trip from St. Louis to Davenport cost $4.25. Passengers were warned in the event of low water levels, the captain would put passengers ashore and may not return to pick them up. The first bridge to cross the Mississippi River stretched from Rock Island, IL to Davenport, IA. The bridge was a major link for the transcontinental railroad. Six days after the bridge opened, it was struck by the steamboat Effie Afton. A lawsuit was filed by the steamboat company against the bridge company. A young lawyer named Abraham Lincoln represented the bridge company and won the case. The bridge no longer stands today. It has been replaced by a bridge that connects Davenport and Rock Island to Arsenal Island. The bridge is one of only two bridges in the world that swings 360 degrees in either direction. It is powered by an antique trolley motor and opens frequently for barge traffic that travels up and down the Mississippi.

From our back yard, we enjoy a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, which we have shared with you in the photo.
